A memorial service for Robert Thomas Ryan, 69, a Carson Valley resident for the past 32 years, will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville.
Mr. Ryan died Dec. 9, 2003, at Washoe Medical Center. He was born Aug. 5, 1934, in Oceanside, Calif., to Charles T. and Phyllis Jones Ryan.
He worked in the cattle business for his entire life. While his personal herd was Angus cattle, he managed Ace Hereford Ranch in Woodfords for 25 years.
Among his survivors are his wife, Barbara of Gardnerville; sons and daughters-in-law Richard and Sandy Ryan and Michael and Cathy Berg; son Gary Berg; daughters Linda and Michele; grandchildren Richie, Kelsey, Joshua, Lynsey, Zachary and Sarah; sister, Abbie Nelson and several nieces and nephews.
Private burial will be at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
