Nevada baseball plays two today

The University of Nevada baseball team will play a doubleheader today against Fresno State at Peccole Park, beginning at 11 a.m.

Friday's scheduled game in the Western Athletic Conference series was postponed due to the weather. The series will conclude at 1 p.m. Sunday, with Carson High graduate Darrell Rasner scheduled to start.

"I'm ready to go," said Rasner about Sunday. "I'm looking forward to it. I've got to get back out there. It's driving me crazy."

Rasner missed one start since being hit by a line drive two weeks ago against San Jose State.

Also on Fresno State's roster is senior outfielder Jared Walker of Gardnerville. Walker has played in 12 games and started seven games this season. He's 4-for-21 (.190) with a double, four RBIs and three runs scored.
