Fernley's Burton advances to steer wrestling finals at national competition

Fernley High's Scott Burton stood in 10th place heading into today's round in steer wrestling in the National High School Rodeo Finals in Illinois.


With a combined score of 10.685 seconds, Burton was in a strong position to be among the top 20 that advanced to Sunday's final round.


Other Carson Country students competing in the high school rodeo finals include Carson's Tonya Henrich (goat tying) and Jordan Allyn (calf roping) and Yerington's Lindsay Stockton.
