A soccer ball autographed by U.S. World Cup team star Brandy Chastain is the prize in a sealed bid auction being hosted by the Carson High School Soccer Boosters Club.
The sealed bid auction will be conducted during the Northern 4A zone tournament, which starts Tuesday at Carson High School.
The ball will be on display at the snack bar, where bid forms may be obtained during the tournament. Anyone interested in bidding on the ball should submit their best bid on the forms. Forms may also be obtained by writing to Karen Schardin at 4370 Timberline Drive, Carson City, 89703.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit Carson High soccer as well as development of the school's soccer field.
TAZ TRY-OUTS
The Taz, a competitive under-15 girls traveling soccer team that represents Northern Nevada, will hold try-outs for all interested girls on Nov. 20-21 at Shadow Mountain Sports Complex in Sparks.
Two sessions will be conducted each day - 8-10:30 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, 8-10 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. on Sunday.
