UNR kicks off fund-raising effort for new campus

RENO, Nev. - For a small donation, the University of Nevada, Reno will carve your name in stone on a monument at the new Redfield campus in southwest Reno.

The ''millennium stone'' project is part of a $5.4 million dollar fund-raising effort for the 60-acre campus, scheduled to open in 2002.

People can have their name placed on the monument for $250.

Putting your name on a building will cost quite a bit more.

For $1 million, UNR will name the first building's lecture hall after you. A $150,000 donation will buy your name on the computer center, and the name on the library is up for grabs for $300,000.
