A Carson City man was arrested at 6:35 p.m. near the 2300 block of North Carson Street on a warrant that had been issued because he failed to appear in court on charges of obstructing a peace officer.
Jose Sepulveda, 26, was also a registered ex-felon. When deputies looked in his car they found a loaded sawed-off shotgun laying in plain view. The barrel length was about 14 inches and the serial numbers had been removed.
Sepulveda had been previously arrested on charges of trafficking in methamphetamine.
