Carson Performing Arts International Thespian Society and Western Nevada Performing Arts Company are sponsoring a Northern Nevada Ensemble Theatre Company production of the rock musical Godspell this weekend.
The production will be showing at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday with a matinee performance at 2 p.m., Sunday at the Bob Boldrick Theater in the Carson Community Center. Preshow entertainment and accompaniment will be provided by The Hyde Street Swing Section.
Written by John-Michael Tebeleck and Stephen Schwartz, Godspell includes pop musical favorites such as "Day by Day" and features the combined talents of 30 teenaged performers from the Tahoe Basin.
Presale tickets are $10 general admission, $9 students/seniors, and $8 child and student body card holders. Tickets are available at Carson High School, cast members, or through reservations by calling 885-6331. Tickets at the door will be $12 general, $11 student/senior, $10 child and student body card holders.
