Nevada Nature Conservancy director takes post in California

RENO, Nev. - The executive director of The Nature Conservancy in Nevada is leaving to assume a similar position in California.

Graham Chisholm takes over as executive director of the non-profit group's California program on Jan. 10.

Chisholm, 41, has led the conservation group's efforts in Nevada for the past two years. He is also founder of the Great Basin Bird Observatory and cofounder of Great Basin Land and Water, a nonprofit group dealing with water issues involving the Truckee River.

A management team will run the conservancy's Nevada operations while a search is conducted for a new director.
