Carson Fire Department to allow open buring through Nov. 12

The Carson City Fire Department will allow open burning beginning Saturday through Nov. 12 to provide residents an opportunity to dispose of accumulated weeds and yard debris.

Permits are required before burning is allowed. Applications may be obtained at:

Carson City Fire Station No. 1, 777 S. Stewart St., from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday;

Station No. 2, 2400 Graves Lane, and Station No. 3, 4649 Snyder Ave., between 8 a.m.-8 p.m. (subject to emergency calls).

Carson City Hall, 201 N. Carson St., and at the Carson City Building Department, 2621 Northgate Lane, Suite 6, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

An application may also be downloaded off the Web site at: www.carson-city.nv.us/CCFD/ (a PDF reader is needed to download).

A permit number must be obtained at least one day prior to burn.
