Residents looking for an opportunity to serve Carson City have two opportunities: Openings are available on both the Carson City Airport Authority and the Shade Tree Council.
- Two, two-year terms are open on the Airport Authority. Positions include space for a fixed-based operator at the airport and a manufacturer from the Carson City Industrial Airpark who is not a fixed-base operator on the airport. Selected applicants will need to complete a financial disclosure statement.
- There are three openings on the Shade Tree Council. The council advises the board of supervisors on all tree-related issues in the city. Terms are two years and applicants should expect a commitment of at least 10 hours per month.
Applications for either board are due by Sept. 22.
