Carson AARP to hold picnic

The Carson Valley Chapter of AARP, No. 3683, will hold its annual picnic at Bently Science Park in Minden from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 3.

Everyone is asked to bring a dish to share. The chapter will provide hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks. There is no charge for members. Guests are welcome at $3 each.

After lunch there will be a drawing for prizes and bingo and hoseshoes will be played.

Participants may also bring their own games and teach others to play.

This is a workday for Bently and everyone is asked to car pool as parking is limited.
