Jeff Wellman

October 13, 1960 - January 18, 2024

On the evening of Jan 18th, 2024, Jeff Wellman joined his Lord in heaven.

Jeff was a loving husband, father, grandpa, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was an amazing, hardworking, and generous man. He was honest, caring, personable, and had a great sense of humor and an unforgettable smile. Jeff was a strong man and was incredibly brave with his stage four cancer diagnosis four months prior. Being a private man, he didn’t want others to know about his diagnosis. He did not want to be a burden to anyone despite his family telling him he never could be. Due to cancer complications, Jeff passed surrounded by his family holding his hands as he left this world.

Jeff’s most proud accomplishment was his family, including his wife of nearly 32 years, their three children, his eight grandchildren, and his loving mother. He also cherished his time with all their beloved dogs, including his best buddy Otis and their newest family members, their two Japanese Chins. Jeff was a well-known and loved bartender (and therapist) at Carson Valley Inn for 28 years. He made many lifelong friendships with co-workers and customers alike, many who were like family. He had a heart of gold and will be missed more than words can say.

Jeff is preceded in death by his father, Gordon Wellman, and his sister, Kirsten Walters. He is survived by his mother, Charlene Wellman, and his wife, Elizabeth Wellman. As well as his children: Shawn (Theo) Webb, Chad (Nichelle) Cooper, and Nathan (Jamie) Cooper. And his grandchildren: Kailyn Trask, Emma Trask, Logan Trask, Connor Cooper, Julianna Cooper, Natalie Cooper, Brinnley Cooper, and Caden Cooper. Jeff is also survived by his brother Michael Wellman, his nephew Phillip Bryant, and his niece Cari Walters.

We will be celebrating the beautiful life of Jeff on Sunday March 10th, at 4pm, at Carson Valley Inn, in Minden, NV. We ask that you please RSVP at http://evite.me/yyj5nr5Efv
