Patricia Ann "Pann" Baltz, age 74, passed away on August 14, 2023, in Gardnerville, NV. She was born on June 20, 1949, and grew up in Southern California. Pann attended Hollywood High School and went on to graduate from UCLA. She then dedicated her career to teaching elementary school for over 20 years in Arcadia, CA. Pann's passion for teaching was recognized when in 1993, despite years of medical challenges, she was named California's Teacher of the Year and received the Outstanding Teacher of the Year award from Disnev. In retirement, Pan volunteered as a READing Paws Coordinator where students read to dogs weeklv at the local Library. She also taught women's Bible studies and helped with Vacation Bible School, daily thankful for God's gift of life.
Pann is survived by her son KC Baltz and her grandchildren Garrett Baltz and Emily Baltz. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Eileen Langford, her husband of 53 years William Baltz, and her brother Richard P Lanaford Ill.
A celebration of life will be held at High Sierra Fellowship on Saturday October 21st at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to World Vision or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
