Nicholas Bradford Bauter

March 27, 1979 - October 12, 2023

Nicholas Bradford Bauter, 44, died unexpectedly October 12, 2023, at his home in Georgetown, TX. He was born March 27, 1979, in Carson City, NV, the son of Robert Whitney and Pamela (Hill) muter.

Nick attended St. Teresa Catholic grade school and Carson High school where he lettered in skiing, golf, football, and academics. His next stop was South Bend, IN and the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree. He also spent a summer semester in Florence Italy, where he studied the culture and learned how to paint frescos, He ran with the Bulls in Pamploma, Spain, one of his favorite stories.

Nick then travelled to San Francisco and attended the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2004. Next, he went east to Boston and studied at Tufts University School of Medicine in Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery. That was not for him, so while deciding what to do he practiced dentistry in Dayton, NV, with his brother Jono, where his father had set up the towns first dental office.

In 2008, he went back to San Francisco and did research in the causes of cleft palate. The next year Nick re-entered the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry to receive a Master of Science, MS-Orthodontics Residency Program. He was featured in Contact Point, a UOP publication, in 2010 for his work in tissue repair by regeneration. He also spent time in 2007 volunteering in Peru with his father, Rob for Rotoplast International helping with surgery on children with cleft palates.

Nick loved to ski and play golf. He loved all football, but mostly Notre Dame Football. In fact, he loved all things Notre Dame and shared that love with all his family.

In addition to his parents Nick is survived by his sister Whitney Stoner, her husband Clark of Sonoma, CA, and their three children, Cash, Hank, and Faith. Also, his brother Jonathan Bauter, DDS, wife Ashlee (Eaton) of Boise, ID, and their three children, Sam, Bridget, and Mia.

A private Funeral mass and internment will be at St. Teresa of Avila in Carson City, NV.
