On Saturday, May 13th, 2023, Robert (Bob) Hamlin passed away peacefully at home at the age of 87. Bob was born in a mining camp in Colorado to Everett and Alma Hamlin. At the age of two, the family moved to Carson City. He graduated from Carson High and went to the University of Nevada for one semester. In January of 1956, he went to work for the State of Nevada, Dept. of Transportation. He retired after 33 years. In November of 1956, he married Joyce Cole. They raised two daughters and a son. Bob loved to hunt and fish. He and Joyce traveled the U.S. in their motorhome.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, mother, and great grandchild. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Joyce, daughters Debra Aberizk (Dave) and Kathie Hamlin, son David (Dawn), eight grandchildren, and
4 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
