Arthur Kuzniewski U.S. Veteran

Kuzniewski, Arthur, 87, passed away at home in Carson City Nevada on March 11, 2023 after a brief illness. Proud Marine Corps veteran. Graduated San Jose State University. Retired Recreation Director, Realtor, entrepreneur and author.

Born in Glassport Pennsylvania on November 14, 1935. Grew up in Emsworth Pennsylvania where he spent most of his young life in the loving care of the Sisters of the Holy Family Orphanage (now Holy Family Institute).

After his service in the Marine Corps he lived in California where he married and had 5 children. While working as the Recreation Director for the Port Hueneme California Naval Base he accepted a 2 year assignment to Guam, where he served as the Recreation Director for the Naval Base on the island, overseeing the creation of a golf course, movie theaters and multiple recreational activities for the Navy. After returning to California and retiring from his first career, he lived many years in Virginia City Nevada before moving to Carson City where he lived for the rest of his life. Preceded in death by parents Joseph Kuzniewski and Helen Kwiatkowski Kuzniewski, siblings Leonard Kuzniewski (infant), Jane Kuzniewski, unnamed infant, Joseph Kuzniewski (Elsie- deceased) Jerome (Harry) Kuzniewski (Barb - deceased), Regina Martin (Earl-deceased), son Matthew John Kuzniewski Hagler, daughter-in-law Valerie Geraghty Hagler.

Survived by partner of 38 years Adrianne Meloy, their blended family: Stacey Rogers (Mark), Brady Harms (Elizabeth), Kathleen Kuzniewski McDonald (Rob Yount), Steven Hagler, Mary Siem, Christopher Kuzniewski, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. His sisters Marie Brott (Walter), Eleanor Hartick (Richard - deceased), many nieces and nephews.
