Patricia Florence Dory-Schupbach passed away peacefully on Monday.
Pat was born in Redding, CA. She moved to Fallon, NV and lived with her father, graduating from Austin High School in 1956 where she was one of six graduates.
It was in Austin that she met the love of her life, Darryl Louis Dory. Pat worked and retired from Carson City School District. After Darryl’s death, Pat married Duane Schupbach and they enjoyed 9 years of marriage until his death in 2013.
Throughout her life, Pat enjoyed gardening, sewing, volunteering, and developing deep and meaningful friendships.
Pat is survived by her two loving daughters, Kelly Fluitt (married to David Fluitt) of Carson City and Nanette Heckler (married to Steve Heckler) of Oxford, GA, grandchildren Adam Ramsey, Katelyn Ramsey,Patrick Dawson, Forrest Heckler, Audrey Heckler, and Tristan Heckler and 10 great grandchildren.
Those who knew her frequently commented on her remarkable kindness, generosity, and
positive attitude. She will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 24, at 2452 Taylor Way in Carson City at 11 a.m
