Robert “Pat” Kimmerling passed away at his home on October 29, 2021. He was attended during his passing by his children and his companion, Kathleen Clark.
He is survived by his four children, Deborah, Ann, Wendy, Robert and their families.
Pat spent much of his youth growing up in Arizona where he learned the ropes of raising cattle on his father’s ranch outside of Tucson. A lauded mechanical engineering graduate of the University of Arizona, his experience and skills served him well on his own ranch in Carson Valley where he worked from 1953 until retiring to Foothill Road with his wife, Margery, who predeceased him on January 5, 2020.
Pat will be remembered for his enthusiasm for life and pursuit of personal achievements such as mountaineering, climbing, skiing, spelunking, white water rafting, scuba diving and piloting hot air balloons. His years of service to Rotary International led to his naming as a Paul Harris Fellow.
There will be no formal funeral or reception.
