Debbie Starr, 65, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 with her loving family by her side.
Debbie was a very family-oriented woman and touched the lives of many. She was a true example of a matriarch. Anyone who knew Debbie knew her house always smelled like home, whether it be a hot cooked meal, fresh baked cookies, or a warm fire- she made you feel welcomed. She was kind, loving, and always willing to sacrifice for others. She was a dedicated part of the Douglas County School District for 20 years and loved what she did.
Debbie enjoyed trips to the ocean, attending church, gardening, hiking, camping and celebrating the holidays along with a good glass of wine. She loved her family, her dog Chewie, her chickens, and the Green Bay Packers.
She is survived by her husband Stan Starr of 45 years, daughter Amber Rose and son-in-law Chris, daughter Melissa and son-in-law Jesse, daughter Jessica, son Matt and daughter-in-law Alana and a step-daughter Angie. Grandchildren; Ashley, Kristina, MaKenna, Ryder, Kaden, Cheyenne and Michael as well as many sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews that she loved so much.
Those whose lives were touched by Debbie are invited to join the family at Valley Christian Fellowship, 1681 Lucerne Street, Minden, NV at 11 am on Saturday, May 15, 2021 to honor and celebrate her life.
