Alpine recognizes forester for service

Humboldt-Toiyabe Region 4 Forester Annabelle Monti receives the thanks of the Alpine County Board of Supervisors on April 16.

Alpine County recognized Humboldt-Toiyabe Region 4 Forester Annabelle Monti for her exceptional service and her commitment to community and forests.

"Annabelle Monti's contributions to Alpine County and our forests have been truly invaluable," said Alpine County State & Private Forestry Program Director & Economic Development Director JT Chevallier. "Her selfless commitment, expertise, and passion for environmental stewardship have left an indelible mark on our community, and we are deeply grateful for her service."

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Annabelle Monti has been a dedicated advocate for community engagement and collaboration. She has worked tirelessly to foster partnerships between the forest service, local stakeholders, and community organizations, enhancing communication, understanding, and shared stewardship of our forests.

"We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Annabelle Monti for her outstanding service to Alpine County," said Alpine County Wildfire Projects Coordinator Clint Celio. "While we bid farewell to Annabelle as she embarks on her next chapter, she will always have a home in Alpine County, and her legacy of service will continue to inspire us for years to come."
