The R-C Morning Report for Jan. 13
Genoa , Nev. — The road control picture this morning looks a lot like it did on Thursday, with chains or snow tires required on Highway 395 from Johnson Lane to Bridgeport. Highway 88 is requiring chains or snow tires to the state line where chains are required. Then it closes at Pickets Junction.
Kingsbury Grade remains closed due to the sinkhole, which likely won’t get fixed until the weather improves for a bit. Highway 50 is requiring chains or snow tires to Stateline.
The NHP board is clear of incidents occurring in Western Nevada, though that won’t stay that way for long, I wager.
Monday is Martin Luther King Day, so no school and government offices and banks will be closed so plan accordingly.
Today expect scattered snow showers before 11 a.m. and then cloudy skies gradually clearing. The high will hit 34 today with the wind about 5 mph.
