Genoa, Nev. — High winds created near white-out conditions on Highway 395 from the Mammoth Lakes turn-off to Lee Vining. The highway down south was a mess all day on Monday with reports of high winds tipping over at least one truck.


It was a blustery night with a 47 mph gust clocked at Minden-Tahoe Airport 10:55 p.m. Monday. There won’t be any relief from the wind today with the high wind warning extended to 10 p.m.


My rain gauge shows 1.22 inches of rain since midnight. The amounts drop off as you cross the Valley with only a quarter inch at the Minden-Tahoe Airport.


Residents of a home on Fremont Avenue had a rude awakening early Saturday morning when a motorist hit their house at 1 a.m. The 20 year old was taken into custody after a preliminary breath test indicated she had a .203 blood alcohol content.


A Stateline man is scheduled to be sentenced today after he admitted in October to selling Oxycontin. Keenan Corrigan, 35, sold about 60 pills for $240.
