The last of the concerts in Minden Park is tonight, and I wager the chairs are already making their way to the venue. Up tonight is Creedence Clearwater Revival cover band Rad Moon Rising. In the words of John Lithgow in “The Twilight Zone Movie,” “I love Creedence.”

That fire above Jacks Valley should be out by now. On Thursday, officials said they expected to have it contained last night. No new fires are reported by the Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch.
A Stateline man receive 2-5 years in prison for driving under the influence with a prior conviction on Tuesday. Scott O. Newman has felony DUI convictions from 2009 and 2013, according to the courts. He was arrested in September 2017 with a .2 blood alcohol content.
Expect temperatures to warm way up this weekend with the high hitting 95 by Sunday. We’re going to have to get hotter than that to crack the 101-degree record in Minden set in 2001.
