The R-C Morning Report for Aug. 15
Gov. Brian Sandoval will host a press conference 11 a.m. today to make an announcement regarding the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange, specifically coverage in Nevada’s 14 potentially bare counties. Douglas is one of those counties and we’ve got some folks here who’ve been using the health insurance.
The Mosquito Abatement District folks will likely be out fogging tonight, though I don’t know where yet. Douglas hasn’t had a mosquito trap turn up positive for West Nile Virus, though they are waiting for results on 20 of them. I’ll post when I know what’s up.
There were a couple of 3-magnitude quakes down Mammoth Way early Monday morning. If you go to http://www.seismo.unr.edu you can practically see the outline of that caldera.
Expect sunny skies and a high temperature of 86 degrees. Just a light breeze of 5 mph out of the north forecast for today.
