The Jan. 18 R-C Morning Report

Genoa, Nev. — Douglas County commissioners are scheduled to hear an appeal of the bid on the North Valley Wastewater Treatment Plant at their meeting in Stateline 1:30 p.m. today. There’s also a couple of items related to the tire thefts.

Folks are going to have a blustery ride over Kingsbury today with a high wind warning going into effect at 10 a.m. Expect winds out of the south at 20-35 mph, gusting to 60 mph. If you’re traveling expect crosswinds of up to 75 mph along spots on Highway 395, and I wager, Highway 88.

Rescuers responded to a vehicle into a guardrail 7 a.m. at Mica and Highway 395. NHP is listing it as an injury collision and they are on scene. It sounds like one person is injured.

We’re pretty close to the forecast high temperature of 58 degrees this morning. Once the wind and the front arrive, expect the temperature to start to drop.
