Pack game time announced

Staff Reports

The University of Nevada on Wednesday announced a kickoff time for its football season home opener.

Nevada’s game on Sept. 9 against Toledo is now set for a 4 p.m. kickoff at Mackay Stadium. This gives the Wolf Pack at least three day games at home for the upcoming season.

The game was selected by ESPN Networks for broadcast and it was announced by the Mountain West’s broadcast partner that the game will be shown digitally on ESPN3.

The Wolf Pack’s game against Idaho State on Sept. 16 is also set for a 4 p.m. start at Mackay Stadium, as the Bengals visit Reno for the first time since 1991. Nevada’s game against UNLV on Nov. 25 is scheduled for a 1 p.m. kickoff at Mackay.

Nevada have two night games scheduled at Mackay this season. The Wolf Pack will play Hawaíi on Oct. 7 at 7:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network and the homecoming game is set for Friday, Oct. 20, against Air Force at 6:30 p.m., also on CBS Sports.

The only home game without a kickoff time at this time is the Nov. 11 matchup with San Jose State, which will be shown on an ESPN network. The start time for that game will not be announced by ESPN until 12 days prior to the game.
