Dillon Spates (Douglas, ’11), fr., Waldorf College: Waldorf competes Central Region Championships starting Saturday.

Jessica Waggoner (Douglas, ’09), soph., F, Army: Army fell to Navy 57-50 on Feb. 11 but beat Lafayette earlier in the week. Waggoner has played in all 25 of the Black Knights’ games and has averaged 4.6 points, 3.6 rebounds per outing. She has also blocked four shots this season and recorded 12 steals.

Chris Downs (Douglas, ’11), fr., G, Butte College: Red-shirting. Butte lost to Shasta 65-60 last week and beat Redwoods 72-63.

Bri Burnside (Douglas, ’11), fr., F, College of the Siskiyous: Siskiyous lost to Redwoods 77-67 and beat Shasta 77-55. Burnside is averaging 5.6 points per game with 58 rebounds and 24 assists on the year.

Nick Cohee (Douglas, ’08), sr., Utah: Cohee finished 10th or better for the eighth time this season with a ninth-place finish in the men’s slalom at the Seawolf Invitational in Anchorage, Alaska over the weekend.

Grant Denny (Douglas, ’11), fr., Feather River: Events for the spring season start today at Norco, Calif.

Chris Balcom-Miller (Douglas ’06), P, Portland Sea Dogs (Red Sox Double-A): Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to spring training Sunday. He is the 25th ranked prospect (10th-ranked pitching prospect) in the Red Sox organization. He is expected to start the season in Double-A Portland.

Tyler Hoelzen (Douglas, ’09), jr., P, Sacramento State: Season opens today against Cal State Northridge.

Phil Mannelly (Douglas, ’07), sr., OF, Lynn (Fla.): Lynn swept Alabama-Huntsville in a four-game series over the weekend.
