Duffie pitched four innings for the victory. He allowed five hits, while striking out three hitters and walking none.

Silveira closed out the final inning to get the save.

The Tigers scored six runs in the third inning to take a 7-1 lead and blow open the game.

Matt Jacobsen had a two-run double and walked twice.

Carson came back to win the second game, 5-4.

Chris Murray, Richie French, Johnny Mannelly and Jeff Peters each had one hit for Douglas.

The Tigers dropped a doubleheader to the Reno Knights at Reno High on Thursday. Reno won the first game, 5-4, and took the second, 10-3.

Douglas led the first game 4-2 heading into the bottom of the fifth, before back-to-back errors on a wild pitch allowed two Reno runs to score. The next Knight hitter collected a single to win the game.

The Tigers will play host to the Sundevils today for a doubleheader that is scheduled to start at noon at DHS. Douglas will play host to the Reno Knights on Friday for a doubleheader that will start at 4 p.m.
