Tiger skiers compete at Tahoe Basin League JV championships

Staff Reports

The Douglas High ski team competed at the Tahoe Basin League Junior Varsity Championships last week.

The JV championships are formatted so that all participating skiers take a first run with the top 32 boys and top 16 girls advancing to a dual bracket format.

From there, the racers run in pairs with the winner of each dual advancing in the bracket.

Every Douglas skier made it into the brackets based on their first-run time.

Tess Laub took third to post the highest finish for the Tigers on the girls’ side. Michelle Schilling was fourth.

On the boys’ side, Bradley Loshbough finished eighth.
