Ticket prices set for Douglas playoff games

Five Douglas seniors were honored during their team's Senior Night ceremony Thursday at Randy Green Court. They are, from left, Ashley Campagna, Taryn Allmett, Isabelle Peterson, Talyn Jackson and Raychel Allen. The Tigers went on to defeat arch rival Carson, 3-1.

Ticket prices for Douglas High School's home playoff volleyball match against McQueen on Tuesday and playoff football game on Friday against Spanish Springs have been announced by school officials.

Prices are $10 for adults, $5 for students, $3 for senior citizens 62-and-older and children 8-and-younger will be admitted free of charge. NIAA courtesy cards will be honored for the legitimate pass holder and one guest. NIAA Lifetime Passes will be honored for the legitimate pass holder and one guest.

Douglas hosts its opening round region tournament volleyball match starting at 6 p.m. Douglas (23-9 overall record) is the Sierra League's No. 2 seed and McQueen (17-12) is the High Desert League's No. 3 seed. The tournament semifinals will be played on Thursday and the finals on Saturday at Galena High School in Reno.

The football playoff game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. kickoff at Keith Roman Field. Douglas earned the right to host as the Sierra League's No. 2 seed after its 31-17 regular season-ending win at Carson on Thursday night.
