Thacker to coach in all-star game

Douglas High boys basketball coach Corey Thacker will be back on the court tonight when he coaches in the high school boys team in the inaugural Native American High School Basketball Showcase in Reno.

The girls game starts at 5:30 p.m., followed by the boys game at 7 at the Reno Sparks Indian Colony gymnasium. Players representing Northern Nevada large and small schools will be featured in the games.

Taylynn Kizer will represent Douglas High and Alysa Street will represent Carson in the girls game. Janae Bluehorse, a former Douglas player who now attends Reed, is also list on the 4A roster.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students (seniors 55-and-over and youth 6-and-under are free). Proceeds will benefit Wooster High School.
