Season passes for Carson Valley Golf Course go on sale Dec. 15.
For single walkers, the cost is $950 and $1,450 with a cart. For a couple, the cost is $1,600 and with a cart it’s $2,425. The cost for a junior walker is $99.

Olympic Boxing Trials in Reno
The U.S. Boxing Trials for the 2016 Olympics kick off Monday at the Silver Legacy Grand Exposition Hall and the Reno Events Center.
The Trials, which will be free to the public, will have two sessions daily (1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.) at Silver Legacy through Thursday.
The finals are Dec. 11-12 at the REC. General admission is $15 and ringside is $25.
Olympic boxing contenders also visited Northern Nevada in 1976 when the Western Region Trials were hosted by Stewart Indian School in Carson City.
Adult flag football league sign-ups continue to Dec. 18
Early registration for the Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department’s adult flag football league will continue through Dec. 18.
The registration fee is $530 per team. Games will be played at Ranchos Aspen Park. The season will include 10 games and a single elimination tournament.

Coaches still needed for youth basketball league season
The Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department is still accepting sign-ups from players and coaches for its winter youth basketball program.
A boys league is offered for players in third through 12 grades and a coed league for third through 12th graders. Leagues will be organized for third-fourth grades, fifth-sixth grades, seventh-eighth grades and high school coed.
The season is scheduled to begin in January and continue until March with games at the Douglas County Community & Senior Center. Players will be assigned to teams through a draft system. The cost is $90.
Volunteer coaches are also needed for both leagues. Applicants are required to submit an application and background check packet by Nov. 30.
