The top three finishers in each age group earned awards on Sept. 27 at Lampe Park.

Wyatt Pratt and Kevyn Reid posted the top overall boys and girls marks on Sept. 27 during the Carson Valley Punt, Pass & Kick event held at Lampe Park.

A total of 37 boys and girls participated in an event sponsored by the National Football League and hosted by the Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department.

Pratt took first-place in the boys 12-13 age group and posted the best mark in all divisions with a combined distance of 296 feet, 5 inches for his punt, pass and kick. Reid won the girls 14-15 age group with a combined distance of 208-6.

Jakob McNamara was the boys 14-15 winner with a mark of 258-0.

The competition was close in the boys 8-9 age group, where four feet separated the top three with Cody Lipsey taking first-place. Independence Gesselman won the girls 10-11 division by four feet over Breanna Williams.

Age group winners now advance to the sectional Punt, Pass & Kick event to be held Oct. 25 at Golden Eagle Regional Park in Sparks.
