Long road trips not new for Idaho team
Talk about road warriors. Post Falls went the extra mile to play their basketball game Saturday against Douglas in Minden — 851 of them, to be exact.
Post Falls is located in northern Idaho between Coeur d’Alene and Spokane, Wash., and just 80 miles from the Canadian border
“We do a couple of these trips every year where we go different places,” coach Mike McLean said. “There are only three schools our size in our area, so we have to go all over.”
The Trojans played two games during their Northern Nevada trip, including a 71-50 win Friday at Spanish Springs.
“If we don’t come here, we go to Seattle once or twice a year and we also travel to Boise, which is an eight-hour drive for us,” McLean said. “So travel is just what we do.
