Kindel Isham, Christopher Merritt, Will Williams and Mason Melhus won their matches by fall Wednesday night to help the Douglas High wrestling team to a 66-9 Sierra League dual meet win against Wooster in Reno.

Mushus won his 145-pound bout in 46 seconds, the fastest pin of the night, while Isham won at 106 pounds in 2:39, Merritt won at 132 pounds in 3:44 and Williams won his 138-pound match in 1:46. Douglas won six weight classes by forfeit.

Wooster’s Christian Hanly edged the Tigers’ Blake Murray 5-4 in a featured 160-pound match. Hanley was the region runner-up at 145 pounds last season.

On Saturday, Murray was undefeated for Douglas during the Earl Wilkens Memorial/Stockman’s Invitational in Fallon. Murray compiled a 5-0 record, including wins by fall over Cade Billingsley of Lowry, as well as wrestlers from Fallon (30 seconds), Elko (45 seconds) and Dayton.

The Tigers compete today and Saturday at Lowry’s Cody Louk Memorial Invitational in Winnemucca.

Note: Mason Broderdorf went 5-0 to win a gold medal for the Douglas JV team Saturday at the Hug Takedown Tournament in Reno.
