Peterson, Bertolone lead Douglas to win

Isabelle Peterson and Anna Bertolone had 11 kills each Tuesday to help the Douglas High volleyball team win 3-0 at home against Damonte Ranch.

Douglas (9-4 league, 20-9 overall) won by scores of 25-9, 25-20, 25-13. Damonte Ranch dropped to 4-9 in league play.

Peterson finished the night with a triple double, as the senior had a team-high 16 points (3 aces included) and 12 digs.

Setter Talyn Jackson handed out 26 assists to go with 10 points (4 aces) and seven digs.

Peterson had a .600 hitting percentage, Bertolone finished at .529 and the Tigers hit .438 as a team.

Hailey Hughes led the team with four blocks.


Douglas defeated Damonte Ranch 25-9, 25-19.


Douglas lost to Damonte Ranch in a closely contested three-set match. Damonte Ranch won 18-25, 25-22, 15-10. Meike Cole led the Tigers with seven kills.
