Meika Cole had four service aces and Maddy Smalley three kills to help the Pau-Wa-Lu eighth-grade volleyball team remain undefeated with a 2-1 win against Eagle Valley on Tuesday in Carson City.

The Panthers, now 4-0 in Tah-Neva League play, won by set scores of 20-25, 25-19, 15-7.

Destiny Vaughan also had two kills and Amanda Hone one for the Panthers. Taylynn Kizer had two aces and Rori Fair one.


An all-sixth-grade Pau-Wa-Lu lineup lost 2-0 at Eagle Valley on Tuesday.

Eagle Valley won by set scores of 25-21 and 25-8. The opener was a closely contested affair that was tied 19-19 — and Pau-Wa-Lu had the serve — before Eagle Valley took charge.

Meadow Shull led the Panthers with four service points, including two aces. Riley Mello had two service points with an ace and Alyssa Jenkins had an ace.

Courtney Battcher contributed two digs and a kill, while Truett Bryce and Neveah Kizer each had kills and Hannah Schaeffer a block.
