Little League teams claim championships

Carson Valley Little League saw two championships decided Wednesday night at Aspen Park.
In the majors division, the Pirates defeated the Orioles 12-2, completing an impressive season with 21 wins and one loss.
In the Double-A division, the Padres clinched a 4-3 win over the Mets with two outs in the bottom of the sixth as Cameron Davidson plugged the ball into right-center, bringing James Hubbard around for the winning run.
The Padres’ Anthony Hernandez pitched a complete game in picking up the win.
The Padres also won the regular season title this year.
