Lindsey Adams debuts for Wolf Pack
Here is a breakdown on some Carson Valley athletes who have graduated from high school and now compete in college:
TRACK AND FIELD
Lindsey Adams — University of Nevada, 2015 Douglas High graduate: Adams recently joined the Wolf Pack squad and ran 5:24.0 in the women’s mile run last weekend at the Ed Jacoby Invitational indoor meet in Nampa, Idaho. The race marked her debut for Nevada since being released from her original letter-of-intent signing with Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
Dusty Fisher — Boise State University, 2013 Douglas graduate: Fisher ran to fourth-place in the men’s 400 meters with a dash of 49.83 at the Boise State-hosted Ed Jacoby Invitational.
Corryne Millett — College of San Mateo, 2015 Douglas graduate: Millett, who was knocked out of her previous game after taking an elbow to her head, emerged as the rebound leader for San Mateo in its 74-59 Coast North Conference win Jan. 15 at home against Las Positas. Millett grabbed 13 rebounds to go with two steals, one assist, one blocked shot and four points. Millett also came off the bench Wednesday night to score eight points and grab five rebounds for San Mateo in its 89-59 loss to defending state champion Chabot in Hayward, Calif.
