Genoa Lakes to host DHS golf benefit
The Douglas High All-Sports Boosters Club will hold a fund-raising golf tournament on Sunday, March 25, at The Golf Club at Genoa Lakes.
The entry fee is $70 per person if registered by Jan. 31. After Jan. 31, the cost is $80, which includes greens fees and cart, box lunch, drinks, dinner after the tournament at the Carson Valley Inn and a golf shirt.
A raffle and silent auction will also be part of the Sunday night dinner at CVI. A cocktail party will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. the evening before the tournament.
The field will be limited to the first 144 players who register.
Proceeds from the tournament will be used by the DHS All-Sports boosters to fund projects throughout the Douglas High athletics program.
Each spring, Douglas coaches are asked to include their team’s needs on the All-Sports Boosters’ “Wish List.” The boosters then decide where to re-allocate the money they have raised throughout the year.
In the last five years, the Douglas High All-Sports Boosters have raised more than $92,000 for DHS athletics.
