June 21, 2017
After falling into an early six-run deficit, the Douglas Ducks 16U summer baseball team rallied back on Monday before they fell to a 7-6 loss at the hands of the Manogue Mix in Reno.
Down 6-0 after one inning, the Ducks scored once in the top of the seventh and had the potential tying and go-ahead runs on base when Manogue got the final out.
Elijah Hinajosa went 3-for-4, Camden Brown 2-for-4, Matt Goff 2-for-4 and Reece Restevedt 2-for-4 to lead the Ducks offensively. Goff also scored three runs.
Brown singled and scored on Chris Thacker's double as the Ducks scored their first run in the second inning. Restevedt tripled and scored to ignite a three-run third inning rally for the Ducks.
On Friday, the Ducks scored five runs in the third inning and went on to secure a 10-4 win at home against Hug.
