Douglas Pop Warner football teams all played on the road last weekend as they traveled for games against the Reno Miners, Reno Panthers, Sparks Wolf Pack and Fallon Greenwave.

The Junior Pee Wee Tigers started the weekend on the road Friday night with a 27-0 victory against the Sparks Wolf Pack. Coach Shane Thomas said: "Despite a slow a first half, the team rallied to a 27-0 final over the Sparks Wolf Pack."

The Mitey Mites had a Saturday afternoon game that resulted in a 12-6 win against the Reno Panthers in Reno. Coach Allen Peake said: "This was a very hard battle. The Reno Panthers were tough. Our team battled it out until the very end, though. These boys earned this victory. Teamwork is always the key to our success. Great effort with a great outcome."

The Pee Wee Tigers played in Fallon, where they were 35-0 winners against the Fallon Greenwave. Coach Darren Daniels said: "The defense again stepped up to the challenge by not allowing the Greenwave to score. There were a lot of players put in different roles and I was very pleased with the game they played."

The Tiny Mites played a game full of excitement and positive memories on Saturday morning when they played the Reno Miners. Coach Jake Fair said: "Our defense was called to action early, anchored by Keston Sadabseng, they knew they had to rise up to several challenges. Keston with the help of teammate, Austin MacPherson, made crucial stops in pivotal parts of the game. Offensively we had equal challenges against a tough Miners defense. Several sustained drives and a strong determination by the offensive line put them in the end zone."

The Douglas Unlimited team had a bye this week and is preparing for its next game at home against the Fallon Greenwave.
