Nikki Alexander swept all three of her singles sets while the doubles team of Maureen Brennan and Jessica Ochoa won three times Tuesday afternoon to help pace the Douglas High girls tennis team to a 14-4 win at home against North Valleys.
Douglas (1-1) rebounded to even its Northern 4A conference record after losing on a tie-breaker last week against McQueen.
Shelby Casaus-Kelsey Carlson and Amanda Shaffer-Haley Doughty were 2-0 in their doubles sets at Lampe Park, while Kari Coziahr went 2-0 in singles.
Amanda Shaffer-Reagan Merriam and the new team of Sandra Cubillo-Lori Ramm were each 1-0.
Lauren Wilsey moved from doubles to singles and went 0-3, however, coach Dan Hannah said she "improved throughout the day." Alexa Meza lost in her first career appearance for Douglas, but did win two games in the set.
