Douglas girls swim past Lowry
The Douglas girls won their second dual meet in a row with a 92-63 victory over Lowry High on Saturday at Northwest Pool in Reno.
The Lowry boys pulled off an 82-63 win over the Douglas boys in the same meet.
Charlene Rigdon and Brittany Reichardt each won two races and teamed with Betsy Carlson and Sarah Lillegard to win the 400 freestyle relay.
Rigdon won the 50 freestyle and the 100 backstroke.
Reichardt finished first in the 100 breaststroke and the 100 butterfly.
Carlson swam to a first-place finish in the 100 freestyle and took second place in the 100 free.
Cassie Patterson won the 200 freestyle, finished second in the 100 free and teamed with Carlson, Rigdon and Lillegard to win the 200 medley relay.
Sarah Edwards finished first in the 500 freestyle and was third in the 100 backstroke.
Ellen Lillegard won the 200 medley relay and finished second in the 500 freestyle.
Sarah Lillegard added second-place finishes in both the 100 backstroke and the 100 butterfly.
Martina Oxoby was fourth in the 50 freestyle, while Julie Jones was eighth in the 100 freestyle.
Scott Cronk (200 individual medley), Peter Keegan (100 free) and Dan Canale (100 backstroke) each won individual races for the Douglas boys.
Cronk and Keegan teamed with Matt Austin and Daniel Riggs to win the 200 free relay.
Keegan, Cronk, Riggs and Derek Weaver won the 200 medley relay.
Keegan, Cronk and Canale finished second, third and fourth in the 100 butterfly.
Weaver was second in the 50 freestyle, while Riggs took third place and Austin was fifth.
Riggs also had a second-place finish in the 200 free.
Austin finished second in the 100 breaststroke.
