Cooper Davies second in archery tournament

Cooper Davies recently capped a successful summer archery season with his second-place finish at the Pacific Coast Championship in Sacramento.

Cooper, 12, was the runner-up in his bowman compound freestyle class Sept. 24-25 at Discovery Park. He was only two points out of the lead after shooting 60 arrows on Saturday and finished 11 points out of the lead.

Earlier in the summer, he also captured first-place during the California Golden State Cup on July 23 in Sacramento. He placed second at the California Grape Stakes on Aug. 28 in Sacramento.

And he took first-place for Nevada and second for the nation at the Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) second- and third-quarter virtual tournaments.
