Cantwell shot lifts Blue team to all-star victory

Dalton Davis, Ryan Barnes and Tre Jackson represented Douglas High School Tuesday night at the annual Local Sports Program (LSP) Senior All-Star Basketball Games, sponsored by Bully's, in Carson City.

The Douglas trio came out on the winning side of a 110-109 score during the boys game at Carson High's Tom Andreasen Court, which was decided by Aidan Cantwell's jump shot with 23.3 seconds left to play.

Cantwell is a Bishop Manogue senior who lives in Genoa.

The winning team was coached by Brian Voyles, who stepped down as head coach at Galena earlier this spring and has since accepted the same position at Damonte Ranch.

In Tuesday's girls game, Anhelica Shanrock of Spanish Springs scored 27 points to lead the Blue to a 68-46 win over the White.

Drue Chapman of South Tahoe scored 15 points to lead the White team.
