Winter weather advisory Saturday night

A winter weather advisory has been issued for Carson Valley starting 10 p.m. Saturday by the National Weather Service.
Showers will become snow after midnight, according to the advisory, and will continue through Sunday afternoon.
Snow accumulations of 1-4 inches on the Valley floors with 3-6 inches above 5,000 feet. Snow levels are expected to be around the Valley floors on Saturday night, causing slick conditions due to slushy roads.
A wind advisory will wrap up at 10 p.m., according to the weather service.
Two 50 mph wind gusts were recorded in Fish Springs around lunchtime. Winds have been blowing 20-30 mph and gusting to 45 mph in Carson Valley.
