The R-C Morning Report for March 3
March 3, 2017
Genoa, Nev. — Tillman Lane will benefit from the fact that parts of Mottsville Lane will be under water for much of next summer's construction season, county commissioners were told on Thursday. The Gardnerville Ranchos General Improvement District will help with engineering on the project.
Centerville between Highway 88 and Foothill remains on the list of roads up for repairs next summer, though it may not be much drier than Mottsville. The big project is Jacks Valley Road between Genoa and Alpine View. That route is a definite go for next summer.
Minden Town Board members approved with conditions on Wednesday a 130-unit senior living facility located on Ironwood Drive near the medical facilities along Highway 395. This project has been in the works for a long time, if I remember correctly.
The March lion will start roaring on Saturday night with high winds and a chance of snow in the Western Nevada valleys. Might be a good weekend to hunker down. The forecast is calling for 20-25 mph winds with 45 mph gusts starting 10 a.m. Saturday. There's also a chance of 2-4 inches of snow on Sunday.
So today, while it's 56 degrees outside with a light southwest breeze under sunny skies, it might be a good idea to tie anything that hasn't already blown away down.
