Douglas County Mosquito Abatement District folks are spraying behind Winwood and west of Highway 395 this morning if you're wondering what the helicopter is doing. They’ll be ground fogging both tonight and Thursday night.
It got smokier this morning, with air quality in the Ranchos down to moderate since midnight, according to the online gauge. It peaked at 91 at 1 a.m., and looks to be dropping back down to the green.
There was a 3.0 magnitude shaker out southeast of Walker Lake near Mina just before 6 a.m. Not a typical place, but it has set off a few aftershocks.
We're looking at mostly sunny skies with a high near 92 degrees in Minden today. Expect the southwest wind to pick up later this morning to 5-15 mph gusting to 25 mph.
