WNCC offers Web design for kids

The College for Kids program at Western Nevada Community College Douglas is offering a new computer class, Web Design and Safety, for students in grades 6 to 9.

This non-credit class meets Thursdays, March 1 to April 5, 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Students will design and build their own web pages using HTML programming and Web Page Editors. The students will learn to incorporate graphic images, create links, add sound, and make charts on their web pages.

Safety while surfing, emailing, and chatting on the Internet will be stressed.

Computer and technology instructor Jim Abbott will teach the class which meets in the technology lab at Pau Wa Lu Middle School.

Registration closes Thursday, Feb. 22. Late registration cannot be accepted.
